EDITION-K – design for a contemporary fashion shop
The idea for the interior design of EDITION-K was to create different atmospheres on the two levels—upstairs a luxury boutique and downstairs a loft style showroom with the staircase serving as a connecting link between the two spaces.

The facade of the shop—protected by historical preservation laws—was restored by conservationists, who removed layers of paint in a manual process. All the shop furnishings are completed in white.

The staircase is made out of raw concrete with a natural steel handrail which morphs into a space defining element.

Mirrors in the showroom downstairs give an impression of infinity. Old elements of the original shop, which have existed for nearly a hundred years, were carefully integrated into the concept.
